Heres my final title sequence for "12 Monkeys", I had a large amount of problems with this.
First the sound wasnt working in After Effects, second Twas the dna effect I wanted couldnt of been done due too trapcode free trail has demo logo on it, as well as the Uni not having this plugin either.

Did I forget to mention After Effects crashed on me, making me lose some work 5 times (counted), and if I did it at my place on the laptop, then theres the slow student net provided so it takes awhile to watch tutorials.

Overalll i thought this was ok, some parts wanted change for example the font (I only relised the font I downloaded at home, wasnt on the uni computers so by the time it was rendered I gave up fixing it since the deadline was soon)= it took about 30-40 mins to render!!!!

The offical title sequence for the movie "Twelve Monkeys" which I will be creating my title sequence on. Though I did think this is very badly done title sequence, for example the colour of the text doesnt stand out that well. I even checked IMBD and its the only title sequence the person has done which was for "Twelve Monkeys"

Although I did like the fact at start she had a typing on a type writer explaining the virus which is a good way to help tell story in a title sequence. I also thought the use of movement and the monkeys was done well, since part of the story was about the twelve monkeys and there was alot of running away in the movie, so the movement of the animations suggested alot.
For mine though instead using all the red which is sounding more horror and looking it too, I will do darker red with black making it more virual for example.

Dexter is a series which I have been hearing to be interest, and after watching the title sequence it seems like a very normal everyday man doing everything things. Though the close up's and action shots like cutting and blood,, was used a alot which gave it a very killer/psyco impression.
This is good since I believe that it fits the story of the series well after reading up on it and watching some episodes.

Film Review: Alice In Wonderland

So today I saw Alice in Wonderland for the 3rd time today (2 times in 3D and this time in normal), i really liked the visuals and felt like watching it again, also since my friends kept inviting me i decided to tag along.

I really enjoyed the film because the visuals were stunning, creative, and imaginative which fits the original Alice in wonderland. I also thought it fits the type of movies Tim Burton does, where it has a crazy/insanity feel too atmosphere.
Though I did think the storyline lacked, it was a very boring piece which basically
*Spoiler alert don’t read if you don’t want to know*
It really is just like Alice in wonderland when she was a kid "the animated version" where she meets everyone they but the only difference is, she’s older and can’t remember them, then comes up with some really weird creature she has to fight which gets killed quicker than expected.

Though I doubt people will be remembering it for the storyline but more into the stunning visuals and CGI. I liked how it was shot too with a lot of close up's to show the characters emotions for example, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, you had close up's of him smiling showing his insanity.

Overall it was a must watch 8/10

(-2 due to lack of storyline which could have been improved more detail, more action or anything)

Today was an interesting day for the group that I'm in, we didn't have either the cameraman, light/sound assistant or producer. It was a three person team working with both lights, interviewing the guest speakers, sound- both "Ready Roll" and "Shotgun Mircrophone", as well as camera.
This ended up being overcome by me doing the lighting first before the interviewee's showing up, I then set up "Shotgun Microphone" onto the "Boom Poll" to see if it was working fine, I laid down the "Ready Roll" on the table as a safety measure to make sure we get perfect sound.
After the interviewee's came in I double checked see if lighting was fine in case different height but everything was fine, at the end of the filming we didn't have any problems where we would go over time.

This was also first time I had to do sound in a documentory group, using a "Boom Pole" which can be a very painful job, I had to get comfortable the whole two interviews while being close enough to record the sound but not too close where the "Boom Pole" shows on camera.

Today I was finally able to do some lighting work in the studio for this group, we had to light up objects such as pens and spinning globe for our b roll.
I really like how the Globe came out though, the lights and spinning gave a really interesting effect, we also did 3 point lighting and used candle light to get an olden day's feel, someone on the desk with an old fasioned ink pen which represented a scientist.

We did some more filming yesterday of Broll's, such as tramlines and factories,
in which Joe drove us around in his car. Though he did end up going in the wrong direction *TWICE*, I dont drive but im sure your not meant drive on the tram lines.

Well it was a cold day but was prepared this time dressed all warm, and we ended up having no problems filming, although we didnt get footage of a train going by due too they wouldnt let us on platform without a ticket.

Anime: Kampfer+Letter Bee

2 new animes I been watching and am enjoying lately are
Kampfer:
I find this storyline so remarkably funny and unique, people are chosen to become female fighters each controling a power or weapon. A boy wakes up one day as a female and after that he ends up being attacked by other kampfers.
Thing i find funny is the boy likes this girl Sakura, but Sakura only likes the guys (female transformation) but doesnt know that there the same person.
Then to make it even more funny the 3 kampfer the guy teams up with end up falling for him and theres always arguements around.

Letter Bee:
Not as interesting of a anime but I give it one thing, it has alot of heart in the storyline which grabs my attention right away feeling for the characters.
A young boy wishes to be a Letter Bee (which is like postman expect has special gun and fights monsters), But his main wish is to find his best friend who was a letter bee but went missing.

Barking- Finally Filmed

Well my group and I filmed the Barking play today and it was a good experience working with professional actors.
At the start things started going wrong and we ended up being late on filming, but we soon turned it around when started filming scenes. As the Location Manager my role on set was just to make sure everyone was safe and perform the the tasks on the risk assessment sheet.

My second role was lighting which we didn't need expect in a few scenes, for example the fridge scene which needed light and green filters to make a spooky feel to it.
And there was some scenes which we needed to pretend it was night so bounced a light off the ceiling to make this feeling while the curtains was closed.

I was also the Runner even though I didn't originally plan to be, or thought was needed, I had to go buy flour for a prop in one our scenes.

All went well and looking forward to the final edits of our filming which will be really good.

Review: 2012

Music was really important in this movie, the movie consisted of many tension music to set the scene which you knew straight away danger. I also liked the effect they did showing previous dates before 2012, they have text and location which helped make sense of the time line of whats present and past.

The thing I liked about the film was instead making it a full tension film, which would of ruined it, they did have breaks with humor for example they had a crazy guy create a animation of the end of the world and made it pretty funny.

I also thought this movie had a lot of symbolism for example a quake in the store splitting up the couple apart, or when the church had a image of 2 people touching reaching out with fingers, a crack in the middle splitting them apart. Throughout the movie this was done in many ways people breaking apart.

Anyways overall the film was pretty good and would advice people to watch it

Anime:Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Been watching this anime and the storyline is getting really good, interesting, with amazing characters and fights.
Each episode grabs you attention which is a nice quality to have in anything, anyways the anime is about alchemy which is like science/magic to create things but with a exchange rate.
Its basically about two boy who use forbidden science to try to resurrect their mother back from the dead but failing, alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade, and breaking the human alchemy taboo carries a heavy prices.
Edd loses his leg, while Al loses his body, but giving Edd gave up his arm to reinsert his brothers soul in a suit of armor.
Then rest story is basically them trying get their original self's back and searching for a Philosopher's Stone which is mythical and which could help them, But their not only ones searching for it.
Well i like everything about this anime, full metal alchemist brotherhood is exactly like full metal alchemist, but a lot of episodes are different with more characters and based of the manga which makes it a lot more interesting to watch.

Review Christmas Carol 3D

Ok todays film, I was going see 9 but decided I watch that tomorrow, instead I saw

I completely hated this film it was dull and like nothing new compared to the rest of the Christmas Carol movies. Only thing I enjoyed was it was in 3D and can see everything come at you which was enjoyable, besides that it was like the basic Christmas Carol story. I did find the lighting interesting, everything mainly dark but on happy moments lighted room to represent happiness. Like 2 of the spirits, the first was a flaming candle and the second was a giant man holding a torch with fire. Anyways i thought I would watch it see if anything different compared to rest but it was really boring, least could added something different for example like " Girlfriends of the Past" type version which made it unique yet similar story.

Overall: 3/10 (don't watch unless big fan of 3D)

Anyways I love history mythology's and lately been playing games/watching animes with Valkyries in them. I also decided to research a bit on them and found out a lot of interesting things about them such as their role in Ragnarok and how they half gods.

So I got inspired with a storyline consisting of Valkyries and the Norse gods.
(completely new idea i have had recently).

Storyline: A legend that is older then the gods tell of a Valkyrie born of human blood who shall gain a power unlike any other, knowing of this knowledge, Odin the king of the gods decides he must control this girl so he then try's to search for her.
At the start the girl doesn't know she has these powers, she later on finds out when a weird symbol tattoo appears on her hand, and later on starts seeing spirits raising from the bodies of dead people.
Valkyries then get sent down by Odin to find this girl then teach her how to control her powers to serve Odin, but the more she starts learning what the gods are like the more her human side see's that what shes doing isn't right (stealing the spirits of fallen people to help serve Odin's cause), so she decides to rebel.

More info: Loki will be in this also since a enermy of Odin, but later own things change where he isnt really good at all, wants power to rule and destroy the world.
Just cause he's very mischief like doesn't mean he's a bad guy just a practical joker like, so he will look nice and normal like. At start he helps the girl valkryie but later on when the girl finds out his motives then she becomes a enermy too.

Odin starts to send out Valkyries to destroy the girl since the girl becomes a threat who may control powers stronger then his and unlike normal En jinn Valkyries.

Girl aged 18, blond or brown hair like, lives in a normal town (20th century), as for Loki he's around the same age and misunderstood/nice.

Ok Own Film Ideas (Test)

These are the two ideas I have had/got lately to do for a film, though I don't know all the details so don't ask me too many things since the ideas are still being planned.
I also decided to just write some information on here to see how they are, but rest are all noted down on my notebooks.

Idea 1: Ok this isn't really new but in my college FMP project I created a short trailer for a movie I made up, the storyline and everything I created myself but decided that in the short time I had I would only create a trailer for it. This consisted of a small script of what shots I needed film and what actions for the trailer but didnt consist of dialog.
I now decided since I have alot more knowledge in films and know more into the softwares like after effects that would be a good idea to improve and deeper thought my origanl idea into a full movie.

If you havent watched my trailer then look it up on www.youtube.com/liteduo , it is about a tournament with a twist, fighters from all over the world, and different worlds come to this tournament (but only those who control the powers of dragons). The winner will win a lot of fame+money but more important, the ultimate power of the king of dragons which not everyone wants these powers for good.
Each fighter has there own unique powers and dragons which is why they get given different small dragon statue as a sign of entry.
Orginally got influenced from shaman king anime and mortal kombat but with my own twist and storyline about dragons.
Dragons Tournament- the name I came up with.

Lately Update on ideas: The main bad guy would control dark powers/dragon, and the good guy the obvious opposite of dark which would be light user, this could be interesting contrast with effects black/white.
But yeah I wanted alot contrast like type powers, water/fire etc to be a key element.

Another thing is that I wanted it to be a new age type film, like city instead of village etc 20th century mainly set in different locations
(email/text where the fight would be and with who)

Also wanted love story in this instead of making it only fantasy which is the genre i prefer, i thought that a love pair in this would improve some deeper background of the characters. As well as making it a cruel fate them fighting eachother in the tournament.

Barking - More information

Ok as a location manager - my main role. I have been thinking of locations to use and thought we would use the same house as the Malac play, since not only is it a good location to set everything up, but we also don't need permission because the house belongs to group members.

Our Filming is mainly in a longue and kitchen which we both have in the house, and safe too with alot space to set lights/equipment.
Another good point is distence is right near the university so dont have waste a lot of time of our filming time and the actors important time.

But this is just a start, I will see if there's more better locations but till then I find the one we have so far very appropriate.

P.s we also found out our actors, whom are real actors not some beginner . This is very impressive and a good way for us to see how it will be like in the future to work with known actors.

Review - Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Ok now I finally sorted out my month free unlimited movies card, so I decided to start watching movies and reviewing them.

Since today I had just a hour tutorial I decided to watch a movie at the cinema, so I decided to pick....

Film: Cirque du Freak: The Vampires Assistant.

Ok this movie looked low budget with actors in the trailer, but it did look like a interesting and unique storyline which convinced me to watch it. I have never been so mistaken in my life when i finally watched it and thought how amazing it was.

Storyline: Ok the storyline was about a circus of freaks coming to town and changing a boy everyday normal life with unexpected twists. The boy called Darren then meets this vampire in the circus act which leads to events where he has to leave his life and become a vampire.

( very interesting storyline and unique, also a very magical and funny storyline as well)
Camera: Start of the movie there was a good panning shot left to right then vica verser to show the crowd at the funeral scene, this seemed effective.

Actors: Ok not exactly the best of acting seriously, it was really stupid in a lot of scenes though the characters and storyline supported the acting well, which means didn't care about the acting.

Special Effects/Edits/Other: The special effects I really liked, for example the vampire speed was a interesting way to represent it with a purplish color zooming everywhere. I also thought there was a scene which was done really well (Kid talking how all parents want off him is college, job, family, this had a cut for each one showing a preview). This reminded me something that the TV show Scrubs would do with funny cuts.

Watching this movie made me see how important color actually is since throughout the movie I can remember seeing a lot of red hinting danger/warning.
Overall: I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it to people who haven't seen it, very funny at least and interesting storyline

Barking - Got our 1/3 play given to us

We have been set into 3 groups, and then given a random play from 3 choices.
The group i am in ended up with "Barking as its play mainly set in a horror/thriller way, located mainly in a kitchen and lounge.

We each decided on the roles we wanted and had no arguments since people didn't mind what they got, which was really good it getting this sorted quickly.
I decided I would be the location manager which consists of jobs with it such as health and safety+photographer+runner.

Since this would mainly be text based (not a on shooting role) and there was a lot of roles set out, some got to pick two (means more work but someone had to do it). I decided Iwould also be the Light assistant which is on shooting based role but not a lot of work since i would just be assisting the Light Manager.
So we all got even enough roles instead of someone having a lot of work while others have it easy, this why I suggested to take two.

Looking forward to our outcome hopefully a lot better then our Malac play.

My own review (Merlin 2009 series)

Ok this is a new series i have been enjoying since it came out, its already on season two with a new episode every week on Saturdays around 6-7 (or watch it on BBC iplayer.
I love the whole fantasy/magic theme and really interested in old times about merlin/dragons so this series is perfect because its based in those times. Unlike the Sam Neill's Merlin series which done in 1998, the New 2008/2009 Merlin series with Colin Morgan, is a lot more deeper into the storyline and magic.
Every week you get more knowledge how Merlin started out and how King Arther became to be. Besides the deep plot in the storyline which grabs your attention and gets you addicted to whats going happen next,which i do like, im mainly interested in the special effects for spells in this and how they make realistic looking creatures such as Trolls.

As you can tell, the 1st was really old looking and more into the history feel too it, while the new one is more modern and interesting.

Anyways its a must watch :) if like special effects and magic/Merlin like, its good storyline too. King Uther banned magic from Camelot kingdom and Merlin has to protect while hiding his magic :).

Research on Addictive Colour Mixing

Ok we were assigned to research on the addictive colours,
so I found this interesting wheel which helps show how combining different colours create new ones, this also includes for lighting as well.

For example the LCD and CRT computer+television screens use a mixing of addictive colours, which clearly suggests how important it really is.

The method of mixing color light is called additive color mixing, because when you are adding light from two or more sources, it produces the mixed color which we see today.

Another interesting thing I learnt is when you mix red/green and blue lights together it creates a white light, but only when combined with the right amount of each.

Malac- Sound Plan

Well friday is today and we had a audio lecture today talking more into our Malac play. We have to come up with a script but for where and what sound/audio we will use.
We discussed what sounds would be good like footsteps, brief case opening, music, we found all of this on free sounds/music sites which wasn't copyrighted.
I helped pick which music I liked and thought fits the moment well, then took vote which of the songs to use, since we had a few songs for each section in the play.

Malac

Today we got assigned to our groups for the Malac play which went well, we seem to share ideas and get on well as a group.
So im looking forward to our final outcome and actually filming/editing.
Our main idea is to make it all serious at the start but closer to the end we will add humor and make this "Malac" a pet hamster, i thought this was a pretty funny and nice way to intemperate this play.
We found a location within the group, someones basement which was a perfect location for the play, though deciding our roles was left till Tuesday where we will talk more about it.

Year 2: First Homework- Location Manager

Describe the role of a Location Manager.

A location manager is a important role in a team, his job is to locate places required in a film. With this the location manager has to make sure if everything is safe in this location, for example if a need a old house and a scene on the stairs
(make sure the stairs are safe to carry large equiptment to the top).
They will have to research everything about the location from sound to lighting and anything else that will effect the film, for example if theres a school nearby, what time do they finish ?, so they avoid background noise.
Then when they find a appropriate location, they then inform the director to see if any problems.

Ok I have find a better place upload videos cause this is starting to annoy me,
created a practice av so far, added music, didnt finish obviously just test and wanted show what been working on with av for uni project.
youtube accepted the video but not the song lol its licienced=seriously stupid, anyways i wonder if can upload videos well alot to blogger ? doubt they have as much space as youtube do they ?.

No the video isnt finished got editing/slicing more/add more anime+games+movie special effects. I just wanted show someone my so far to give idea the song match etc.
Anyways using this Av as my part 3 in identity project, i will later decide on my 4th choice which is also another Av but different.

Here I have decided to research for my logo, looking into the colour and known brands.
Look into colours charts i have looked that there are lots of different meaning for the same colour, for example red could mean love but on the other hand it could also mean blood+danger. http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-meaning.html

Also been researching a mixture of known brands, such as the coca cola brand, which is a good inspiration using bright colors to catch the eye and make people remember.

Journal Research Task

Since the day I started school, college and uni I have had a passion for creativity and ideas. Although it started of as a set task I had to make the task my own with final outcome etc, It was only till I started college, this is was where I decided to create my own projects and brainstorm ideas of my own in my own time (either a website or amv or a graphics with photoshop/illustator).
This was more for myself then for someone else, though while exploring my field and creating my own projects, it will all end to the part where its targeted for someone when I finish uni and get a job in my creative area of interest.
I would have to say at the start, I done these tasks because it was required for my courses, but on the other hand from that i developed a interest and decided do my own work for myself, for example my youtube amvs which was in my own time.
My future is something still far ahead to think about i would say, although i know i want to get a good job in the av/audio area, and more interested into the special effects area too.

This just way for inspiration on umm creativity i guess lol, japanese has the most insane ideas and creative for movies (some which are based from animes and live action).

(Kitaro<---based from a anime started from 1960's remade around 2007, really impressive and creative live action movie consisting of a combination of 3D, and Special Effects.)
O and i just love the music in this really good Jrock song, and the characters are really interesting.

The storyline and characters are really imaginative which would relate to myself in a way, after deep thought I want to do Special Effects (with maybeee a bit 3d sometimes or none alot of the times)<---already knew this but whats my style ?

Well its simple instead of making real effect Special Effects e.g "Matrix", "Independence Day" etc, I" am more into the non reality-imagination side such as hero movies eg "X-Men", "Fantastic Four", "Hancock", and the non hero movies like "Mortal Kombat", "Eragon", "Seeker" etc many with Special Effects.

I knew I wanted go into special effects area and dont mind any to be honest, but I do have a prefer style of myself which I learnt in a lecture while presenting a presentation. I have a deep passion for anime (Creative, Escape from reality, Entertaining). I have also done Special Effect work before and storylines (My FMP college project which was a tournament of fighters with special powers, but with my unique twist= the winner would gain the powers of a dragon king and theres fighters with spirits of dragons). I created a trailer and well wanted my own part so wouldnt look too like tournament movies e.g "Mortal Kombat" "Street Fighter" so I made whole storyline up+trailer using inspiration too.
My 2nd idea which I had when I came to this uni, which just in my head and havent done anything on it was about a guy waking up in a world where everyone he knows has powers and he's the only person without, finding it weird like he's in a dreamworld he decides to find a way to gain a power too or live his life as a outcast from this new world (again another power/special effects storyline not developed this one yet)

Ok this is the first idea for my box, although I will do a better photoshop version of where i will place my box etc later on.

The idea is a ds laying maybe on a bed or camden floor (the lock) since areas im always at and im a gamer so a ds would be a good way represent myself in a creative way.

I will then open the ds and on the screen will be the avatar, logo, website, av, av special images which will be clickable. Once clicked the outcome will appear on the above screen, if its a website i may have to link it to a internet page.

Although i may concider having my logo on the actual ds to make it my own orginal device, the pen style will be the way to click on the image boxes.

Ok so to help me see who i am, my personality/interests etc are (besides own knowlege like love anime/games/skating/ got blue highlights/born in year of the dragon etc). I needed deeper thought which to be honest i didnt know like personilty (without actually lying),
anyways asked my friends what they think of me and what my identity is and they came up with things i already knew and things i didnt.

Im nice and friendly to people, help friends+family out if I can (well true but wouldnt really say it but anyways friends and family told me it so yeah)
Love blue+black too much (well i already mentioned blue highlights etc but yeah got alot clothes that are black/rock like from camden)
Quiet and shy alot of times till get know someone better (very true lol i remember first day of college it was silence the whole week)
I am insanely crazy about anime and games (already mentioned they just stated stuff i already knew about myself and interests, sadly they didnt say much about my personility expect im nice, friendly, shy/quiet sometimes).

This just more about my own identity from well friends point of views which i agree with, it will help me when creating my 3d avatar which will represent myself in some ways.

Ok this is a further research into character designing for my avatar, getting a range of ideas how to color my character, different ways standing and movement, ideas of the type avatar i want in a 3d avatar (though first will need to draw on paper)
As you can see this is myself with my blue highlights *above* (about month or two ago before came to uni), though right now i have black/dark blue which cant see unless look into the light. I have been doing different styles blue since secondary school and will be including this feature in my avatar.

This image above helps show how my outcome will be, while thinking of clothes and how my character will stand (it gives me few ideas to me and people). The person drawed themselfs the way the wanted to be as well as having features of theres like the hair and attitude
Another How to guide, i have alot of images how to draw these, which will help when creating my own avatar chibi style.
Heres a interesting way how to do different movements like jumping etc, and ways to do different expressions with the eyes and hands.
I like the use of colors in background and eyes/hair, really thinking of doing a blue hair a little like the first part of the image. Different shades of blue gives it a really nice feeling and eventhough i use one type blue on my hair, i have been wanting experiment with highlights someday. It also gives me idea if im going include background to my 3d avatar.

Ok my idea for my avatar is a half human half dragon, this chibi style is a angel, but it gives me a idea how i can create my own version with dragon wings all scaley instead of features.

This is a actual Chibi dragon, when I saw this I was thinking of maybe creating one as my avatar instead of a half boy, half dragon. Or maybe just include one into my logo design, I am still deciding from which 2 of my ideas to go with. Though with the full dragon it would be hard to include many of the things that represent me.
Saw this and reminded me how I was born in the year of the dragons, so a dragon part to my avatar would be a strong represenation of myself as well as being one of my interests. I also ended up having ideas how to create my wings.
I found this image online while looking at different character designs how people drawed themselfs, inspired me how im going color my own drawing of my avatar and the useage of photoshop tutorials to help.
This image and one above both help me get ideas on coloring in, but also how im going showing feeling and emotion in my avatar (maybe the eyes/face/clothes will help a great deal)
This chibi has wings which are inpressive, coming from different angles. This is just a clear idea of how my avatar may look like, a human then wings from a dragon from back.

Identity - Plan and Notes

Ok this is just to help me before i create my gant chart, and in case i forget my main ideas.
I have also writen it down on my notebook and starting to paste images too, but will also post every image from inspiration to work related on here. Below is my tasks and bullet points (are my own things which i think needs to be done) and the dark blue font bullet points are ideas so i wont forget.
The highlighted light blue are tasks which i have completed and sure i have done <---posted on blogger and will ask teacher if i have achieved my task Identity Project (All my work will be posted on my blogger, but will have scrapebook for notes/images too) Part 1: Create a 3D avartar represents myself.

Think up ideas of who I am, interests, personality and write them down on paper/or blogger. (have started this with previous post)
Moodboards as well as a brainstorm of myself, and my interests. Then will create a brainstorm of ideas for my avatar like what i want them to have/wear/act/different looks i want my character to have etc. (Will put a different color text to represent my main choices)
Character Designs Drawings research, here i will look into the range ways to draw characters/avatars (Will look into color as well, and existing avatars shown in games/3D work)
Further Research of avatars, here i will post images of games i play and of my avatar i use to represent myself in each. Will include notes as well as just the image. (In a way kinda started this but will post a more detail 1 topic on all the games, with images, since previous was just to state who i am and few things i like.)
Draw my avatar, sketch it on paper and scan it in, heres where will might first do a brainstorm of what i want my avatar to consist of, so i can come up with few idea drawings of different avatars. (I will also color some in on photoshop)
Prototypes on 3D while testing out the software so screenshots could be included
Select final avatar and develop it adding color and detail in drawing so get a clear view before add it in 3D.
Final Outcome where I create my avatar in 3D then render it, after i will post it on my blogger and hosting site.
My own avatar will represent me but wont look exactly like myself expect features that relate to me and represent me.
I am very interested in creating my character in chibi style drawing since it represents anime, which is a strong passion of myself, it also looks alot better in my own view that gives a cute feel.
I might make my character have blue spikey hair (this represents me because i always have blue highlights/hair), I will also try to make the character look nice and shy (which are 2 personalities of myself). Another thing I will include will be adding dragon wings to make my avatar half human/half dragon (Since i am a fan of dragons and mythology) I might add something to represent my anime+music side as well maybe headphones/ipod/clothes with a anime tshirt/clothes.

Part 2: Logo

Research Logo companies and designs for a range of things, games, music etc.
Create some logo drawings that represent myself (use previous brainstorm of myself for help).
Select one and develop it, then produce the final outcome with color/detail.
A dragon or scorpio would be a good idea, since its my birthday i was born on 19th november 1988, the year of the dragon and scorpio.
Maybe add my name or nickname (hugo/duo) since clear represents my indentity.

Part 3: AV-Video

Research some videos on peoples indentity, for example youtube some music videos on peoples interests. (Maybe themselfs skating etc, or playing games)
Start to make a clear plan of my AV video, maybe brainstorm ideas.
Film the Video and collected selected videos since I will use clips from music band videos not just my own filming.
Produce test film/edits as a practice run using the softwares.
Produce the final idea and edit till you can produce the final outcome.
I will thinking of producing a music video of myself showing me inline skating (get someone to film me), and maybe few clips of my interests so if music i get clips of a band i really like doing a music video (might need collect it online with download), could also include things like me playing games or anime clips which is a huge part of myself (get these with me filming myself or download).

Part 4-5

Decide on my part 4-5 choice outcomes, then research them, design ideas, develop, test, produce the final outcomes (these are steps for any choice).
I might create a collage of myself or produce another av video maybe using other parts my own indentity, If i cant fit in the above 4, maybe split the clips into 2 Av Videos.
I could also create a website of myself, own work, interests etc.

Identity - Looking into character drawings Part 1

As I said on my last post, I will be looking into the different types of avatars there are, since there is a range of different ways to draw characters from human to alien to cyborg.
First type drawing I looked into is the basic life drawing with real human sizes, this is pretty much used in alot of 3D animations as well as games, for example "S4 league" this is myself on the game

Heres how to draw life drawing characters and ways to color.

As you can see this is one way to draw characters and as saw above, its used alot as avatars in games. This is started with lines and shapes then built up towards a proper character which is a easy process once you get the hang of it.
The coloring, well depends way you do it which makes it look cartoony or more detailed less cartoony.

The next way of creating a avatar is non-human, it may be a creature you are into, or alien, or animal. For example a site I used to play where I created a pet avatar *the site was called "NeoPets", I decided to create a dragon thats blue since my favourite color is blue and i love dragons. These dont even need to be life drawing sizes since its made up and imaginary, i also wanted my dragon to look nice which i have been told is one of my qualities.

Another way i have researched into designing my avatar is chibi style, related to animes which is one my strong points. Heres a good way get a drawing of yourself done without trying figure out the whole life drawing sizes of arms etc. Chibi is a small version avatar with a cute look most the time.
(I am mainly wanting to design myself in chibi style not only will it be more practical for me and allow me to create alot of detailed versions of my avatar quicky, but it also represents myself better since has a nicer look to them and anime related). Although i will be adding inhuman features like dragon wings.

Identities (Little about me)

Ok this going be a long post with images, I decided to think of who i am and my interests, this is my first part i decided to do before i start any piece of my outcomes *3D avatar,logo,av etc* though i will be posting more images of my identity like games i play, animes i watch, music i like, things i like.

I ended up coming with 3 interests/activities which is me, and few things which are features of me.

A big part of me though is Games (Interest/Activity) which i play alot online, everyday. Heres a good way i can see myself as a adverter and create my characters to represent myself, as well as making them the way i want to look too.

This would represent me because my favourite colour is blue, and i have blue highlights/shades, which is pretty much me (do diff styles diff times and diff shades from dark blue to light). Although in a way its a style i wouldnt do full hair light blue, but i have done full hair dark blue before.

A games magazine I created myself showing range of games i liked on the console (sadly cant create myself adverters since already made ones).

Another main interest of mine would have to be Music (Interest/Activity) which i love listening too and another main part of me that i do everyday.

My 3rd (Interest/Activity) which is a big part of my Indentity is Anime, which i watch alot everyday, heres a banner+Collage i did previously before uni that represent my interest in this.

I created these to represent my passion for anime, creating both a collage and a banner showing the range of animes.

Metropolis (Movie) Lecture

This film was very long and I felt like it never ended, not only was it in black and white, but it was very boring as well, it also had subs+no talking. This could work in some films, on the other hand in this film it did not.
The message in the movie "The mediator between head and hands must be the heart!", is a interesting way to think although i do agree with it.
Say doing the work ur using ur head and then ur hands to write it down, but if it has no heart (feeling/emotion) in it then your work wont be as good as it can be because you have no feeling into it either agreeing or disagreeing in views, or the amount done.

This movie also reminded me how amazing it must of been back in the days, using creative ideas which gave birth to things like "Terminator" movie which we have today.

It also seems be based in alot of things, or resemble at least if not the same, I been watching a anime called "Huntik" and theres these 3 guardian titans that are of mind, body, spirit <---a little bit like the head, hand, heart thing.

Anime+Games

Ok well as you can see, "Animes" have influenced me alot as well as "Games", giving me a range of ideas for storylines, characters and animations.(See it in some of my work).
The Key elements I love about "Animes" or "Games" is how it catchs the attention and interact with the audience in a way, for example playing a "Game" your following the characters like your them. As for "Animes" watching every episode+movies gets you really attached to the characters feeling all senses of emotions, from sadness to joyful.
I started to be this way with the "Animes" im watching lately (eventhough im this way along time before lately), I cant seem to wait 1 week for a new episode of both "Naruto" and "Bleach". I also love the drawings and characters that are created for "Anime", as well as the counterpart "Manga".

Compurer games, well im a big fan off free online games from shoot ups to mmorpgs,
example are "S4 League" "Gunz" "Flyff" "Lunia" "Snow Project".
The intereaction in games are really appealing to every audience since its a form of entertainment.
(Will be posting pics of games i play sometimes as well as talking about each and animes too).
Eventhough I am heading towards audio/visal next year, I am also interested in animation+3D+website which I will still do in my own time.
Mainly wanting to combine video and audio with animation 3d (bit of it) doing special effects .

Thanks to sonny for showing the first link, lol this is sooo weird and crazyyy, yet the anime is very cool. Nice to see a music video with nothing related to what the song got created for.
Anyways this is just a simple compare i am decided to do, Eventhough not related to a area it is two of my interests about me (Music and Anime), as well as comparing practice with simularities.

The music video is about Wizard of Oz (yes strange) all happy/childish like, but the song was writen for a Anime:Soul Eater, which is about death reapers/demons/madness etc.
Seeing how there completey opposite of eachother is pretty interesting.

Dragon Ball= My Thoughts

Ok anyone seen Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z/GT when there were little ?, well they are remaking a movie of it based mainly from the manga.
Special effects seem pretty cool and loving the tech in it (space bike that bulma uses), though the actors seem weird and strange = they have the guy who plays spike in buffy as piccolo, and a white guy playing goku (asian in the anime/manga).
They also messed up the storyline :(, on the other hand I will probably watch it just cause of the special effects and curiousity of a live action dragon ball movie.
This is one of them times they should stop making cartoons/animes into movies with live actors, it ruins itself alot, though i may be wrong after I watch it.
P.S. the trailer is cool though!!! :P

Narrative Coursework 1: Part 3: Flash Narrative

Ok was my first flash narratives, storyline based on boy traveling to other worlds.
I am happy with this eventhough had alot of problems with script (didnt stop sometimes etc).
Though I did want use a song for different parts like battles but couldnt find out how to place a song and stop it, then start different one.

P.S just found out I found more script problems, it deleted some scripts by self -_-, and since I was in rush on friday I didnt see this till now, so i ended up just saving it on cd.
Got to love script <---sarcasm :(.
Hopefully teacher will check my blogger for this final version, or ask in presentation on tuesday.

Yay I finally handed in the work on time and finished my flash narrative story,
it was annoying me because the script wasnt working at all, it didnt even stop with the right code.

Anyways i fixed it in the end and will upload later since I have to register for deviant ART, but first im going to sleep. Lack of sleep makes me feel really bad, I didnt even sleep yesterday.
First I needed finish my frames *drawed characters from scratch on flash|* this was weird I had to color in my characters with paintbrush, it wouldnt let me use paint bucket.

FUTURE NOTES FOR ME:

Use Photoshop to draw then import to Flash.

Or longer then 1 week to do a project that may require to draw characters and objects from scratch. (hard on Flash)
Exporting on Flash is in SWF File Format.

Drawing objects with shapes etc is easy to color in and draw (lets you use paintbucket)<--Flash
Script is annoying!!! I kind of did ICT in the first year of college and hated it because of programing c++, script is just as bad. Im lucky I can handle html and know it.

On the bright side, Anime:Naruto Shippuden, New episode is amazinggg (still prefer episode 86-87 cause great music + Shikumaru fight was too good.
Anime:Bleach, New Episode= wasnt that great to be honest, mostly talking and not much fighting with annoying characters.
I would love to create animes (after knowing flash is insanely hard to draw stuff from scratch).

I thought this was so funny and wow on flash, I want to create one mixed with different animes, it seems really cool and interesting.
Combining the most unlikely pair ever, both pokemon and naruto which was pretty impressive.

As much as I like animation/animes/flash it isnt a option for me in my 2nd year, because I dont want to be a animator as a career when I have to choose a pathway, although I will be doing it in my own time.

Narrative Coursework 1: Part 2: One Shot Film

This is my one shot film, where we had to do some sort of meeting without using camera movements, expect one. We had a camera man called Daryl, and the idea we had was thought up by the group, the idea was to have a meeting at the vending machine, for example a queue with a person taking a long time to choose something.
So in a way we were meeting with the vending machine, this followed the brief since with such a wide title as “The Meeting” this could suggest anything.
We wanted to be different from other groups by not just doing something everyone does, for example a meeting in office or something around that.
So we decided on a meeting with a object like a lift or cash machine, but in the end we decided that a vending machine would be more interesting.
Many movies or shows have used objects/machines to have voices, for example “Doctor Who” whenever they travel to a different planet or future
(example cash machines talk) or “Terminator” where machines have minds of there own.

The idea was well thought since we didn’t need to worry about sound because we were going mute the sound and add music, as well as voice over’s for people and machine’s thoughts.
Everyone did their own music, edits, voice over’s though, for example for mine,
I wanted make it contain at least a fragment of hilarity so I used voice over’s from "Full Metal Alchemist" for the thoughts of myself, the reason for this is because the anime has a great number of funny moments.

The second person Zhino, I needed a conversation on the phone, this was extremely difficult since searching through Youtube was weird, for examples I searched phone calls, I couldn’t get a decent phone conversation. I ended up with prank calls, which were mainly guys, or I ended up with girls being annoying with weird voices, but after looking for a hour i ended up with a decent funny prank which seems to suit well I believe.

For the Last person in the Queue I needed music that wouldn’t be expected to be heard by Eric, so I used a "High School Musical" song which worked out well in my opinion.
I had a lot of ideas for the music though because I listen to a range mixture of music, so I didn’t have a difficulties with this.

The Final thoughts I needed to do was for the machine, this wasn’t hard with the amount of machine voices that exist in movies, shows, animes today. I knew a lot of that had machines for example, “Terminator” etc. Although I ended up using “Transformers“, after buying the DVD I got inspired for the voice over’s to make it funny, for example a robot vending machine!!.
The song played throughout was a anime song “Tenchi Muyo- Memories“, this fitted excellent I believe because its a calm song which went well with the queuing up.

I had a lot of fun editing this video even though filming was a challenge, couldn’t move the camera expect once for a one shot film. I would also think this would have to be my best project I have done at university so far, comparing to my homework assignments and my previous coursework “Pixilation“.

Assignment 3: Rule of Thirds

The “Rule of Thirds” is basically one of the most significant composition rule for both photographs and films, this is mainly a image/video divided into 9 squares, like a 3x3 grid as shown in the image.
The key attractions of a image/movie which are important to the viewer, will be placed inside the 4 dots on the square, where the lines intersect. For example a main character’s face reaction or important objects.

The Rule of Thirds is said to be where the main interest is, which people’s eyes will go straight into looking at that area.
In my mini video example I showed 3 of the points I wanted to use for my rule of thirds, I used special effects animation using software like After Effects/Particle Illusion to create the key features of the movie. This helped me remember the rule of thirds reasonably well because of the movement in these areas.

Narratives Coursework 1: Part 1: Pixilation

Ok this is my Pixilation using stills, I have been ill and had few problems with premierer (codec stuff was crashing my laptop), but its all fixed now. Storyline is like a magical teleporting journy getting home.
It was my first atempt but i ended up with a better idea after I done it lol, which I will create some other time.

The song suits the pixilation really well since both seem jumpy, the song I used was air gear- theme song from a anime I like (air gear).

Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel was one of the Pixilation videos i watched to inspire me on what could be done, and the types of illusions that pixilation could create.
But i didnt like the video itself because it was too confusing and weird for the actual music.

Ok Little Late

Yeah i'm having few problems actually, trying to finish the video (Coursework module 1:Pixillation).
Besides the 1 hour lesson where ppl started to edit the video (I spent hour trying fix my pics cause they were being weird reordering theselfs).
Anyways by the time I fixed the pictures, the lesson had ended, also my adobe premierer on my laptop doesnt seem to like my laptop -_-, something about audio card not supported and freezes laptop everytime.

I fixed it today since I woke up early (had install a dell driver) just little late to start edit = I will do it by the end of today for sure!!.

Assignment 2: Why Design ?

I was given a assignment to write about one of my favourite well designed objects and answer the following questions, I was also asked to include a image of the chosen object which in my case was the Nintendo DS which I have recently bought.

The Nintendo DS Lite is a remarkable piece of technology, showing us how much devices can evolve while using some of our state of the art machinery. For instance the DS touch screen stylus pen allows the user to draw and write on the DS, or simply move around in games while giving us a whole new experience in playing, a example would be “Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass” where to move the hero, the user would have to use the touch screen pen to reposition the hero to a location.

When I saw this I was thinking to myself in amazement “you cant ask for anything more”, here’s where I was surprised when I saw that the Nintendo DS has wireless network, a microphone which is used in some games, and a powerful rechargeable battery pack which lasts for 19 hours of play each recharge.

Why is it that we want our belongings to do more for us than to just
function well ?

We want so much more from our devices like phones, I-pods, handhelds etc. This is clearly because of how far technology is advancing which gives people the idea “it must have more then one use!!” into our head.
For example is I had to buy a hand held console, back few years ago people would buy the game boy advance which allowed us to play games only. Though if we look at the present date today, no-one would purchase a handheld where you can only play simple games on, we would get the latest handheld like the DS Lite which consists a touch screen, microphone, a calendar to store important dates and it stores images/music. This not only allows to play games but also allows us to have a lot more uses for the device such as a personal calendar.

Why are we willing, as soon as we can afford it, to play extra money for things with appealing forms ?

Well this is a really good question, I would say that the extra money is well worth it if you gain something a lot more appealing to u.
For example looking at the first Nintendo DS, which only had the basic black/white colours at the start, we see that when the DS Lite was released many new colours came with it such as ice blue
(my preferable favourite which I own), pink and colbalt/black.
The range of colours are important to attract people cause owners of the devices would prefer a colour they like instead of a boring colour like white and black. Also the new DS Lite is slimmer then the previous version, This also helps people pay the extra amount of money because not a single person would like to own a heavy and large object being carried around.

Assignment 1: Technology Advancement

My Assignment was to write a 300-500 word article that tells about a multimedia technology to the audience. This had to be a technology that’s being or has been developed in the last six months and explain what I think the impact of this technology will have upon our society.

For my assignment I’ve decided to write about the new version of Sony’s PSP,
the PSP-3000.This hand held console contains the same features as the previous version of the PSP, including flash card compatibility, a impressive graphics processor, which allow us to play remarkable and realistic games such as “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII”. Not every console has such realistic graphics, especially for a handheld so we are lucky to have the PSP and the new version, PSP-3000.

Not only does the new PSP-3000 have the internet like the previous version had, but the new version is gaining a new impressive and improved LCD screen which allows the games to look a lot better, as well as improving the graphics.

I like the idea how the PSP-3000 is getting a new slim design which will be lighter and easier to carry, this is always a good thing for the audience users since it appeals them a lot more then a heavy and large device. But it doesn’t stop there on Sony's improvements on this new technology, it will also gain a built in Microphone similar to the Nintendo DS and a anti-reflective technology to improve playability outdoors in the sunlight.

The release date for the Sony PSP-3000 is 14th October 2008 in America for $169.99, but Europe had a later release which was 17th October 2008 for £149. This will be a Silver version only at the start, till later colours are released in the future.

In my opinion I feel that this handheld will be very popular not only for the several features it consists of, but also for the realism of graphics the PSP/PSP-3000 have, as well as the games built for it.

I predict that technology is becoming extremely realistic with graphics, the technology keeps improving so much and fast that one day consoles will let u play games in virtual worlds, Maybe even handheld console like the PSP joined with a device to view yourself inside the game (maybe a virtual world helmet), The PSP-3000 is just one example of the amazing technology that shows future is heading to virtual worlds.

I also believe that Handheld consoles are getting so small in size that sooner or later, there’s going to be a really small pocket size handheld console that lets you do anything.

My final major project, well part of it since I also did like posters etc for it too, watching it made me remind myself that I so miss my mates, I swear it feels weird not being in london.
Miss college mates and mates I know outside of college.
p.s this was a end of college project not uni, which I did leading onto my selected course at uni.

1st day and what i want to do.
I have just started my 2nd day into my course and im liking it so far.
I am wanting to do audio and video pathway in my 2nd year, although i do have a interest in web designing as well.

Freshers week
Alot happening in the first week such as freshers week which is a good way to meet new people, also the introductions are helpful to learn way around the university.
